Specs which owe to its improved performance include an increase in the display's resolution and pixel density, improved camera with OIS, a fingerprint scanner, and  a better processor. The Huawei Ascend G7 Plus specs that enable its improved operation efficiency are outlined below.

Huawei G7 Plus Features

Display and Build

The Ascend G7 Plus features a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, and pixel density of 401 PPI. This screen size of over 5.3 Inches classifies the device as a phablet that offers a wide enough screen for an enjoyable viewing experience, but which may not be easily operated with one hand.

Compared with the G7, the screen's resolution is higher, likewise its pixel density, hence if the G7 screen was sharp, this successor offers a sharper screen that is crisp and bright. It is said to be 1.5 times sharper than the average phone released in 2015. Serving as a protection on this screen is protected a 2.5D Gorilla glass 3 that will ensure that the screen is not easily marred on contact with hard and rough surfaces.

The G7 Plus features a premuim design with its all metal uni-body and plastic panels for keeping the phone's atennas out of sight. It is also 16% thinner than an average smartphone released in 2015 and somewhat heavier than average for a smartphone its size. One can either get the G7 Plus in Silver, Gray, or Gold colour.

For improved security, this smartphone also features a smart fingerprint sensor that is located at the device's rear. An advanced level of security from the use of PINs, patterns and Passwords will help to ensure that device is secured at all times and reassuring at the same time. With this scanner, one can quickly access the phone even while the screen is not powered.

It also runs on Huawei's customized user interface, EMUI 3.1 on top Android 5.1 lollipop operating system. With optical image stabilization, this smartphone's camera can still take videos and images of great quality even if the device is in motion.

The G7 Plus also sports a 5MP front camera which makes for clearer selfies with its front focus and beauty level software. The Huawei G7 Plus camera specs are similar to that of the Ascend G7 in terms of resolution, but the rear camera of this variant has been improved upon in terms of low light performance with a wider aperture, sapphire lens, RGBW sensor, dual-tone LED flash, optical image stabilization (OIS), amongst others. Tech Lass's Verdict:

The Huawei Ascend G7 Plus is a good choice for anyone looking for a quality midrange device from a reputable smartphone manufacturer. One with good battery backup, great design, camera, and without the thought of robbing a bank to purchase it. Although it does not have the latest and greatest specs to compete with high-end devices, it would still outperform most devices in its range, even some midrange smartphones released in 2017.
